How can I get more information about my profile?

Discuss your profile with others who also received their own ME+U profile. Explore your profiles together and feel the challenge to understand the aspects that are not directly evident. Talk to the people who gave you feedback. They can help you face your challenges. Do not look for confirmation of the things you feel might be wrong in your profile, do not try to convince the other person that you are right. Listen, ask questions and cherish the feedback. Embrace a growth mindset. If things are not clear, get in touch with the coach who provided you with your profile.

 

Why is there no written report of my profile?

A written report is nice to have for reference. However, it has a couple of disadvantages:

We care about your personal development and the conversations you have with your colleagues and coach. We want you to get in touch with yourself and with others.

The colours  and the quadrants are handy tools to use to achieve this.

 

When will I receive reminders to request feedback (again)?

If you have just created a new ME+U profile, you will receive an email after six weeks explaining that requesting unlimited feedback is a free (but of course not mandatory) feature of the platform. If you have already requested feedback from at least six people, you will receive a one-time email after 46 weeks to request feedback again.

 

How can I use ME+U with my colleagues, partners or customers?

ME+U specializes in personal development and collaboration. We provide a clear and accessible language to gain insight into different approaches and enhance diversity. So it is helpful to use this in your team and with your customers. Get in touch with your coach to make this happen.

 

What does the invitation to my feedback providers look like?

The invitation (and automatic reminder) states:

Dear (name feedback provider),

(Your name) is using ME+U for personal development and collaboration. Would you please help (your name) by providing feedback? Filling in the questionnaire takes about 10 minutes. The results will be shown anonymously. Thank you.

The reminder states:

Dear (name feedback provider)

Do you have 10 minutes to provide feedback to (your name).

The added value of your feedback for the growth and development of (your name) is very valuable. So it is much appreciated and time well spent. The results will be shown anonymously. Thank you.

Why is the feedback anonymous?

The best feedback is when you are one on one in an equal conversation. Nothing can replace personal feedback. It is also one of the hardest things in collaborating and it can become awkward or confronting. ME+U supports the first steps, and that is better done anonymously. In a lot of cultures, anonymous feedback is a good way to open conversations. We invite everyone to be honest and fair in the feedback, that is the only way to work on personal development and strong collaborations. You cannot see exactly who said what about you. Feedback is shown as an average of at least two persons. Names are not shown with the results.

 

Why can’t I adjust the mail to my feedback providers?

Adjusting a mail can have side effects. Sometimes essential information (the link) gets lost or the mail bounces because of the mail server of the recipient. Experience has shown that most people first approach the feedback providers in a personal mail or a phone call to ask if they would be willing to provide feedback. That is also what we recommend.

 

What kind of questions are asked of feedback givers?

There will be six mutiple choice questions and three open-ended questions. For example, when they have seen you at your best in the past year. Of course, you can always invite yourself to give feedback sometime, then see the questions. It's useful not to complete the questionnaire though, the system checks whether you give feedback yourself or someone else does.

 

Do the feedback providers see what category or relation type I selected?

No, this is only for you. It can help you see how people from different settings experience your power. Most of the time that differs, for instance between customers and direct colleagues. Also, we invite you to ask for feedback from people with whom the relationship is a bit uneasy. Those contacts and encounters put you more under pressure and the feedback can reveal your power and challenges.

 

Why can’t I click on a category with Power or Impact in the graph?

You can only click on a category or relation  type when they contain at least two people who gave you feedback. A summary of all the feedback is shown under category ‘all’.

 

How long is my profile valid?

Your profile is valid for three years. You will receive a notice 3 months before it expires.

 

How long can I ask for feedback for free?

You can ask for feedback for up to a year after you have completed the questionnaire. Until that time, requests for feedback are unlimited, though we use a fair-use principle.
